Breadboarding With A Nano18. Part 1

Breadboard_Old_New

A beginner-level tutorial on using BasicMicro’s (basicmicro.com) inexpensive Nano18 PIC processor with the simple breadboard for circuit building. Covers hardware and software aspects.
This Part 1 covers the history of breadboarding, anatomy of a breadboard, and an overview of the Nano part.

A beginner-level tutorial on using BasicMicro’s (basicmicro.com) inexpensive Nano18 PIC processor with the simple breadboard for circuit building. Discusses hardware and software aspects.
This Part 2 covers the download, installation, and a link to the use of, BasicMicro’s compiler/IDE, Studio. It then gives a basic template for entering program code using Studio, and a small program to blink an LED to show actual usage.

Breadboarding With A Nano18. Part 3

RS232 Merging Circuit

A beginner-level tutorial on using BasicMicro’s (basicmicro.com) inexpensive Nano18 PIC processor with the simple breadboard for circuit building. Discusses hardware and software aspects.
This Part 3 covers the power considerations and communications devices that will program, then communicate with, the Nano18.

Breadboarding With A Nano18. Part 4

Tools_Wire

A beginner-level tutorial on using BasicMicro’s (basicmicro.com) inexpensive Nano18 PIC processor with the simple breadboard for circuit building. Discusses hardware and software aspects.
This Part 4 covers the tools and wires needed to implement the circuit. It then follows with a schematic and photos of the first circuit, the Blinking LED. Programming is next. Last is a guide to two sites with several interesting breadboard adpapters and devices the hobbyist and experimenter may want to use in the future to expand their knowledge.
This is the last part in the tutorial.
